Guy Maiorano - Owner and Founder
Guy bought The Elms in 1985 when it was a "sheltered care facility" and had only 12 rooms and 3 residents. Soon afterwards, he recognized the need and the opportunity to serve the region with a premier assisted living community. Under Guy's watchful eye, The Elms has experienced five expansions and now boasts 74 suites in a variety of configurations. In December of 2000, The Carriage House at The Elms, the regions only stand alone community dedicated to the care of those with Alzheimer's and other dementias opened its doors and earned national recognition for it's good works on behalf of its residents. Guy opened Chestnut Cottage on The Elms Campusin 2010, creating a new combined capacity to serve 56 residents with Alzheimer's/Dementia care.

"I'm grateful for this opportunity to be the hands-on manager our residents, families and employees expect and deserve. While most senior living operations have been taken over by large corporations and big business, we remain privately owned and operated. We have an amazingly dedicated, thoughtful, tenured staff that we don't distract from anticipating and attending to the wants and needs of our residents. I feel that our ability to focus on this personal service delivery and relationship building is central to the lifestyle we proudly promote, and why The Elms Campus is so widely recognized as a trustworthy environment for seniors to thrive in."

His broad range of Head Chef experience in local restaurants, resorts and country clubs throughout Rhode Island and Florida creates a casually elegant and delicious dining experience for Elms residents.
Roger Garrison - Maintenance Supervisor
Roger takes credit, along with the rest of our Maintenance team, for keeping The Elms Campus looking crisp inside and out at all times. No matter if it's coordinating a major project or attending to small details for our residents, he always makes sure everyone is taken care of to their satisfaction.
"I really enjoy the diversity of my work, and I get great satisfaction out of following through to ensure everyone in our community is safe, secure and feeling proud of their home and the way it looks. Growing up, my father taught me a great deal, and there was always a mantra to go along with whatever we were working on, such as 'Do it right the first time'. These sayings were drilled into me time after time, and as it turns out, they have become quite valuable in meeting and exceeding the expectations of our customers, as they were probably preaching the same words to their children. I take great value in these principles, so I guess I'm a throwback when it comes to my work philosophy, but it's a good fit for those I serve and support!"
